No Fear! The Watalula Fire Department is a volunteer non-profit organization. We were founded in 1981, and operate out of one station. Our department has a Medical First Responder Team. They can provide Basic Life Support (BLS) until Advance Life Support (ALS) arrives. Our medical responder team is composed of First Responders, EMT's, and Paramedics. Our fire fighters are trained in many areas such as structure, vehicle and wildland fires, emergency response to terrorism, and HAZMAT. Our department works with the Office of Emergency Services to assist with storm spotting activities in our area. We operate largely through our membership dues, fund raisers and donations.
